The Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Department, with the Planning and Zoning Commission, is committed to protecting property rights and enhancing property values through conscientious land-use planning.
Building
Jefferson County's Building Department ensures that construction projects conform to the adopted building codes. The department assists the public under the general direction of the Commissioners.
How to Submit
- Building Permits - Applications for building permits (in PDF format) can be e-mailed to Building Permits.
- Property Status Report Requested - Property status report reqeusts can be e-mailed to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department.
- Inspections - Scheduling building permit inspections may be done by phone.
- Variances and Conditional Use Permits - Variances and Conditional Use Permits may be submitted and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Payments
We will accept cash, check or electronic payment. If you elect to use an electronic payment Access Idaho will add a 2.5 percent service fee in addition to the Jefferson County fees.
