Planning, Zoning & Building
The Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Department, with the Planning and Zoning Commission, are committed to protecting property rights and enhancing property values through conscientious land-use planning.
The Probation Department supervises and monitors probation orders from the Adult Misdemeanor and Juvenile Magistrate Courts. We strive to positively impact the community by providing the highest quality services to the courts, victims and offenders.
The Prosecuting Attorney prosecutes all actions, applications, and motions in the District Court and Magistrate's division in which the People, the State or the County is a party.

The Public Work's Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of approximately 744 miles of County roads which includes 447 miles of hard surface, 284 miles of gravel, and 13 miles of unimproved roads. They also operate and maintain the County Line and Circular Butte landfills.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to the protection of all we serve.
Social & Veteran's Services
Social Services is a program designed to temporarily assist eligible Jefferson County residents for a limited time in paying medical and certain other non-medical expenses.
Duties of the Treasurer include collecting and investing tax dollars, depositing and investing all monies received through fines and fees, monthly account balancing, and keeping funds readily available for operating costs.
Weeds & Invasive Species Control
The Noxious Weeds and Invasive Species Control Department oversees the monitoring and mitigation of noxious weeds and invasive species in the community.
