Debbie Karren of LaBelle has served since 2009. Debbie was elected for a four year term. Debbie was the Emergency Management Coordinator for the county prior to election.
District 2: Tad Hegsted, rthegsted@hotmail.com
Tad Hegsted of Grant has served since 2005 and was re-elected in November 2010. Tad was re-elected for a four year term. Tad is a local business owner.
District 3: Jerald Raymond, jraymond@co.jefferson.id.us
Jerald Raymond of Menan has served since December 2010. Jerald was elected for a two year term. Jerald is a rancher.
All three commissioners are actively involved in the community and serve on a number of boards and committees.

Overview:
Jefferson County elects three commissioners from single-member districts to staggered terms to represent the entire county.
The Board of County Commissioners serves as the legislative and policy-setting body for county government. They have the power to adopt ordinances (local laws), approve the County budget, and establish the requirements for the departments under its control. The following departments are under the Board of County Commissioners: Road & Bridge, Planning & Zoning, Building, Weeds, Emergency Management, and Parks & Recreation.
The Board of County Commissioners generally meets on the second and fourth Mondays along with the Thursday in between the two Mondays of each month for public hearings and regular agenda items.
